Michelle Pugh, Owner and Senior Graphic Michelle Pugh, owner of Joonbug Graphic Design, graduated from The Art Institute of Seattle in 1998. Michelle's work history includes over 19 years of professional graphic design experience working for a variety of employers and clients including Indian Country Today Newspaper, The Olympian Newspaper, The Tacoma News Tribune Newspaper, Washington State Government, local businesses and non-profit organizations.

She has been a Senior Graphic Designer for the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission since 2001 and specializes in agency branding projects including publications, interpretive displays, the agency special license plate, the 2015 multi-Washington State agency Discover Pass design update, Boating Programs products (ie. Seattle Boat Show, Boater Education, etc.), website updates and promotional materials. Michelle recently completed a publications re-branding project for Washington State Parks designing over 100 park brochures and maps while on-call as Senior Graphic Designer from July 2016 through June 2017. Michelle also has a passion for health and wellness and is an Experienced 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and shares yoga classes at Alderbrook Resort and Spa, the Olympia Golf and Country Club, the Nisqually Tribe Youth and Community Center, the Skokomish Health Clinic, the Squaxin Island Tribe, the Salmon Center, Washington State Department of Labor and Industries and shares private yoga retreats, workshops and sessions at other locations throughout Washington State.

Her professional experience with small businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies provides a foundation for service in community outreach. Michelle provides authentic designs influenced by nature, family and art and enjoys spending time with her husband and their 13 year old son where they live and play near the Olympics and Puget Sound – creating, fly fishing, skiing and sharing their love for the great outdoors!



Sandi Lucas, Illustrator Sandi Lucas is Michelle's mother and creative inspiration! She has been a supportive team member of Joonbug Graphic Design since 2006 offering detailed, whimsical and realistic works of art including package designs for Shepherd's Soap Company bath and body products, interpretive sign illustration for the Washington State Parks Foundation, custom logos, books and more. Together, Sandi and Michelle are currently working on children's book design while enjoying the special bond they have always shared in health and creativity!
